With Amanda's expertise as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor (LMFT) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), you can expect a warm and professional environment where you'll feel truly heard and understood. Amanda's journey with RAFT Counseling began from her deep-rooted desire to assist others in their healing and personal development. Embracing a strengths-based approach, she values authenticity and transparency, helping clients build a strong foundation for growth. By incorporating techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into client sessions, Amanda combines practical strategies with transformative processing to maximize your progress towards your goals.

In addition to her role at RAFT Counseling, Amanda has served in various leadership roles in the mental health field. As a dedicated advocate for community well-being, Amanda also serves on the board of directors for Teaching Humane Existence (THE). This remarkable nonprofit organization provides community based sex offense specific treatment, offering a therapeutic and safe environment that promotes accountability, supports community safety, and offers clients a space to change and live in wellness. 

From 2018-2023, Amanda was a supervisor for the Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) mobile crisis team, offering extensive crisis support experience across multiple counties in the Denver area including Douglas, Adams, Arapahoe, and Aurora counties. In emergencies, the SAFY mobile crisis team can be reached through the Colorado Crisis Line. With Amanda's diverse background in settings such as residential treatment centers, schools, community mental health agencies, and private practice, she has helped individuals, couples, and families navigate various challenges. Through our internship program and comprehensive training opportunities, we create a supportive environment for pre-licensed therapists to develop professionally. I offer clinical supervision for MFTCs and LPCCs as well as EMDR Consultation for therapists who are pursuing EMDR Certification. At RAFT Counseling, we believe in fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented atmosphere, allowing therapists to gain hands-on experience and refine their skills under the guidance of experienced supervisors.
