Tabitha Davison

Therapist Intern - Starting September 2026

Hi, I'm Tabitha Davison! I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University. I was drawn to counseling because I have seen firsthand the difference that compassionate, accessible mental health care can make in someone's life, and I want to be that support for others.

As someone who grew up in a multicultural and multireligious home, I understand the unique challenges that can come with balancing different cultures, identities, expectations, and beliefs. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for each person's story and the importance of approaching counseling with curiosity, humility, and cultural sensitivity.

Before entering the counseling field, I earned a degree in Neuroscience and currently work in special education, supporting students with severe needs. These experiences have strengthened my passion for working with adolescents, young adults, and individuals from immigrant and multicultural backgrounds. In addition to my professional experiences, I have spent several years serving in church ministry and worship leadership. Because of this background, I am comfortable incorporating faith and spirituality into the counseling process for clients who desire it, while always honoring each client's individual beliefs, values, and goals. Whether faith is central to your counseling journey or not, my goal is to create a space where you feel respected, understood, and supported.

My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and growth-oriented. I believe counseling should be a place where you feel seen, heard, and valued while also feeling challenged and supported as you work toward your goals. I enjoy working with clients who are willing to grow, embrace change, and take meaningful steps toward becoming the person they want to be.
