The journey of life comes with many twists and turns, some of which can leave us debilitated with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and at times trauma that can fog our perceptions of the world and our experiences in it. As your counselor partnering with you during these times, I seek to create a trusting and safe environment to understand your unique experience in the walk of life. So, that together we can foster opportunities for clarity, relief, healing, and growth. In this way, I hope to empower clients to create habits and mindsets that allow you to navigate the journey of life intentionally and mindfully.

I utilize a person-centered approach to client issues, while grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Together, we will identify the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to the interpretations of the world around you and the way you present to the world. Through this process, we will identify core beliefs that drive this system. At times, we may find that the core belief may be limiting or based on false information that is communicated during the tribulations of life. This is when we will rewrite the story of our lives and will create new core beliefs, so that you may present authentically and genuinely in the world and while navigating life.

In addition to my role as a therapist, I enjoy an active lifestyle at the gym, out on trails, and even in the hockey rink. I further enjoy trying new foods with friends and watching live music. In my free time, it is a toss up to find me reading a book or watching my favorite tv shows. I also love spending time with my family playing card or board games, and sometimes hitting the trails to mountain bike.

As I have attempted careers in many different professions, my heart continually led me back to the idea of becoming a professional counselor. The combination of my experiences and journey to healing has provided me a unique opportunity to meet clients where they are and to walk along side them during the difficult process of change and growth. I look forward to meeting with you, coming to know you, and growing with you. In addition to secular therapy, I also offer faith-integrative therapy for those who are interested in including their faith and spirituality.
