Shatonya Mason

Therapist

Welcome to a space where your journey is not just heard, but deeply understood and fully respected. Navigating the challenges of anxiety, addiction, and trauma can often feel isolating, but I'm here to assure you that understanding and unwavering support await. I'm Shatonya Mason, a dedicated therapist, and my focus is on your well-being, with a deep commitment to cultural competence, and LGBTQ inclusion.

I want you to know that you are not alone in your struggles. Over my extensive career in areas outside of therapy but related to mental health, I've witnessed the resilience of countless individuals as they navigate these intricate paths. Your experiences and challenges are valid, and I'm here to offer guidance and support tailored specifically to your unique needs.

Together, we can unravel the past, confront the challenges, and chart a new path forward — one that leads to a stronger, more hopeful you. Your journey is worth embarking on, and I'm here to ensure you don't have to go it alone. I provide support to teens, adults, and children aged 8 and older, as well as their families, recognizing that each person is on their unique path towards mental well-being.

In my practice, I prioritize trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices, integrating innovative methods for a comprehensive healing experience. Your well-being is at the forefront of our journey together. My academic journey began with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Criminology from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Building on this foundation, I pursued a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from Adam State University and became a member of Chi Sigma Iota, symbolizing my commitment to professional growth.

With extensive experience, I've had the privilege of serving diverse communities across different settings. I've facilitated various groups, fostering spaces for positive change. My approach to therapy is versatile and tailored to your unique needs, drawing from techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Center Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness Curriculum.

You have the option to choose between the convenience of teletherapy or the familiarity of in-office sessions, putting your preferences and schedule at the forefront of our partnership. Sharing your story with me is an honor I deeply value, and I'm genuinely eager to meet you, listen to your experiences, and work together towards a more resilient and healthier you. Let's embark on this journey towards well-being together.
